Question - Why the automatic tactical weapon? They went to the room and couldn't get in, they expected more "terrorists"?

1: It's not "automatic", it's a standard AR-15 rifle (semi auto).

2: Why did they have it? Because the 911 call was for a man waving/pointing a RIFLE out of a hotel window. In other words, don't bring a pistol to a potential rifle fight. It's better to have it and not need it then the other way around.

Personally, I think it was a bad shoot, and the cop would have shot him with the pistol if he didn't have a rifle. Result would have been the same for the victim unfortunately.

That's not the debate, the debate is should you be shot in this manner? Was what the police did appropriate?

If this is a justified shooting, we all better watch out. We can be shot by a cop at our next traffic stop for anything.

If all you can say is he shouldn't have reached,

When the truth is, he shouldn't have been put in that situation. The cops set him up to fail, almost as if they wanted to shoot him.

If those cops were afraid for their safety in that moment, they should have never been given a badge, maybe a secretary would be more their fitting.
