That's how it works.

And that is why suspects and/or cops get killed.

So, DO NOT behave like a f*ckwit when a police officer has a weapon aimed at you with his finger on the trigger.

The cop had NO IDEA if the suspect had a gun or not and thus CANNOT take a chance.

Also, the room that the suspects had just exited HAD NOT been cleared. It could have had 6 or 8 guys with guns in it.

After all, the cops were answering a call of a gun being stuck out of the motel window.

Cop A - Says to his cop buddy "secure your weapon." Fucking loser
Cop R - Fires 5 rounds into a crying dude in what can only be described as one of the most humiliating ways to go ever.
Cop R - Murders a dude and at the end, strategically walks away in such a manner that the tortured corpse is not caught on camera.

Also something I didn't realize is that the person giving the orders isn't the one shooting.
