You people don't realize how many times someone has actually pulled out a gun and killed a cop when the cop was showing them the slightest bit of trust. The guy in this videos looks like he reached for something a few times and that last one was just to much risk for a police officer, who is aware of reality and what people are willing to do to evade the law, to deal with. Oh please. Brailsford was a power-tripping dickless little pussy who had already been fired from Mesa PD for excessive force. He was re-hired because his daddy has connections, and those same connections led to the suppression of the video at his trial. He's the stereotypical gun-for-a-little-dick cop, and all of the LE-experienced people in my family laughed at the look of fear on his face when they saw pics of him playing tacticool dress-up. He was the kind of bitch that they would have "run right out the door" (their words).

Shaver was obviously scared and trying his best to cooperate. Brailsford was just trying to flex his itty-bitty little baby nuts, and he gave conflicting and confusing commands because he was on too much of a power-trip to keep his directives concise. That's not authority or professionalism; that's just an overcompensating little shitbag trying to act like the big man that he knows he'll never be.

Any jury that would have seen that body cam footage would have sent him up to either rot or fry, and anyone who thinks that this was a good shoot, or that Shaver posed a reasonable threat, or that there's a war on cops is a fucking idiot.

EDIT: Sorry, it was Brailsford's SIC Charles Langley (who retired and fled to the Philippines 3 months after the shooting) who was barking most of the orders. Brailsford just used that bullshit as an excuse to get his murder-rocks off. But Langley was a shit cop too, according to disciplinary records.
