Re: Police Executing Unarmed Daniel Shaver
Exactly how i seen it...Hands out stretched, dont move, other cop cuffs while private Pyle covers him..
It is done by every law enforcement probably in the world. He'll, they had enough men, they could have had two officers approach, one for each arm while the others cover. I understand, they wanted to get him away from the door. That would be their story. But they blew that out of the water after the shooting when they approached the door. You can tell they aren't that worried about a threat coming from that room. |

Go threw 6 months of Academy class room courses, 4 quarter test and the final State's Test and say that. My class of 35 cadets had only 6 graduate. It's pretty damn hard.

Re: Police Executing Unarmed Daniel Shaver
The guy may not have even known why the cops were there. In his mind, he did nothing wrong, he has no weapons and is not threat. I think the way you see it is ridiculous. A cop doesn't need to put suspects at risk to detain them, they don't need to shoot someone for not following commands. That's the entire problem most of America has with police. They say, if he reaches we can shoot him. Then out him in a situation where a mistake ends a life. They shouldn't feel good about that, they shouldn't be like "he reached so whatever ". No, stop trying to shoot people, or people are going to shoot back. If tghat was my son, or brother, the rest of my life I would make those officers regret they did what they did. |

Re: Police Executing Unarmed Daniel Shaver
Exactly, you can clearly see the victim is confused and unsure of the commands. You can also tell he wants to comply, he's begging them to not shoot him. Like I've said, and every time I watch it it seems more obvious. They wanted to create a reason to shoot him. |

Re: Police Executing Unarmed Daniel Shaver
Why could they not just ask him to remain face down and walk up to him. Made this way to complicated and far to much stress from that cop. That young man was frozen with fear and I'm no pussy but I reckon I would also be frozen with fear as I had no confidence in that cop right from the start. Simon says lay down ,Simon says do this , Simon says do that, or BTW if you get a move wrong Simon wants to kill you . No pressure!! I hope that cop goes to jail and spends every day thinking about how he bullied a kid and killed him!! America home of the free land of the brave. Or in other words a police state that'll shoot your arse |

Re: Police Executing Unarmed Daniel Shaver
I'm not taking a side, I'm saying we need to make an adjustment somewhere, cops shooting unarmed people is happening too often If you've ever been in a life theatening emergency situation, such as a fire, shooting, severe traffic accident, etc you know that people aren't thinking straight. That's why the military, first responders & other emergency personnel train, train train. I've seen people not be able to find or recognize a fire extinguisher right on the wall of their own place of employment that they've known about for years, stuff like that. I've had very poor response at times, very good at others. Citizens don't train for felony stops/searches by cops. |
