Police Colonel Dressed As Priest Shoots and Kills Hostage Taker
Dominican Republic - A man who allegedly was holding a woman and her daughter hostage was shot and killed this past Friday by a colonel of the National Police who posed as a priest. The deceased has been identified as J.A.R.U., who lived in the municipality of Maimón. According to police reports, 'J' was being pursued by a patrol on a homicide case and decided to enter a house in the town of La Yagua, where he took a woman and her young daughter hostage. The man threatened to kill the two if police didn't leave. After some negotiating by police, 'J' allowed a "priest" to enter the house, who once inside killed him with a bullet to the head. The event was captured on a video on a cell phone by journalist Solanyi Borge, who was broadcasting live for a local media outlet. The colonel's name has not been provided by the Police. |

27 minute long video here (I would download it but the file size would be massive: Also a 53 minute long video here, but again, downloading it is pointless due to the size: https://www.facebook.com/noticiariod...7847676939557/

Im gunna have to grab some coffee for this one, because Ive never seen some shit quite like this before. Its interesting that the guy wasnt a little suspicious of the priest who was wearing a vest under those robes lol. Also how he allowed so many other people to come into his house was kind of crazy. A lot of people voluntarily put themselves in harms way to resolve this conflict. Props to them.

Re: Police Colonel Dressed As Priest Shoots and Kills Hostage Taker
I need to brush up on my spanish but I was able to understand a little bit, I know we have some real spanish speakers here so take my interpretation with a grain of salt lol. This is of the 2nd video in the first post. I understand him telling everyone to sit down a bunch, when he looks at the camera and gives a little monolouge I think its directed at his wife and kid (that I believe isn't present in the room), he facetimes someone he calls mama and tells them to look at what he's doing, apparently the signal sucks and the call is dropped. He snot rockets all over the floor at least twice in the video like a true dick. I mean yeah, its not the most lavish floor but damn, use your shirt or ask for a fuckin tissue. If they will give u a phone to call ur mom, they will get you a tissue. The lack of trigger discipline has me, ironically, triggered. The woman near the end tries to get him to understand what he's doing and how itll affect his son, I think she asks him if he thinks his son or wife would care if he died and he seems to say no they wouldnt care. He goes from what looks like depression and despair to being mater of fact around -5:10, then at -5:18 a fuckin demon or some shit enters this dude and changes him. He says something more to the woman and asks if she understands, and she hands him the headset. At -2:10 we see Michael jackson faked his death and currently resides in the dominican republic as a hostage negotiator, or is there to try and snatch the kid when no one is looking. He gives a final monologue but I dont really understand much of it before getting capped in the face, and the editing kind of makes it look like an execution but oh well, the dude's actions in the video dont exactly make me sympathetic to his cause. |

That tactic works once and then diminishes the use of actual priests or religious leaders in future hostage incidents. It worked this time. They won't be able to do that in the foreseeable future.
