First off, they are not escaped prisoners. That was initially reported to make it seem like there was a reason for the brutality. And the men were eventually killed after more beating. The Fiji government is promising an investigation of it's security personel. I say it's a bunch of useless gesturing just like when cops kill people here in USA.
