Do you remember maybe 20 years ago there was a murder on a freeway overpass in LA I think where a guy in some extreme state attacked someone and bit/ate bits of the victim. Headlines made use of the word 'cannibal'... but PCP may have been part of the issue too. Of course the media plays on all the fears - evil, supernatural, a drug that turns people into zombies, not bring safe in your car, black people. I forget but I think there may be a disorder that involves hallucinations, pica type eating weirdness and perhaps some extra strength. On so maybe it's bath salts and PCP... I don't think media was shared with the public but it could exist. Ie freeway cameras, first responders. |

Not really, since most killers aren't "crazy fucks," but kill for a reason which is coherent with their morality/way of life. For them, it can be a deterrent since they need to calculate the chances of being caught (although this doesn't come into play so much with killings done in the heat of passion).
