Re: Plainclothes Police Officer Shoots 2 of 4 Carjackers
That cop will be in considerable problems, more so after leaving the scene, they get charges for killing civilians in the back while running away, he was no threat for the cop under those circumstances, unlike in America where cops have qualified immunity. |

May not be a letter of the law "protecting himself from eminent threat" considering those guys vacated the criminal act and were on the run, but none the less, a civic act preventing the perps from attempting another car jacking 10 minutes later. He gets a WELL DONE! from me.

It doesn't matter if everyone in Argentina believes it was okay, Argentinian laws still apply and the cop will be arrested regardless. |

Re: Plainclothes Police Officer Shoots 2 of 4 Carjackers
Isn't that a bit excessive? I mean, sure, if they held him at gunpoint then it's all fair game. But if they were just stealing the car and not robbing it, then it's really out of proportion. I dunno, maybe it's just my lax european mentality, but this doesn't seem justified. With all that said and done, he's a good shot and someone got got, which is the whole reason I'm even here. Now that I think about it, I just don't give a fuck. |

Re: Plainclothes Police Officer Shoots 2 of 4 Carjackers
I took the effort to fetch more info: the cop got shot in the chest, and he is fighting for his life, they wrote yesterday this changes the situation "was no threat for the cop under those circumstances" I assume. |
