Re: Philly Cop Fatally Shoots Guy Inside Gaming Machines Business
The police were called because the store needed them there for security purposes, aka at the very least “trespassing”… then the cops realized the suspect had an active warrant, because I would be willing to bet all the money I have to my name, he was most likely an already felon and well known by local LEO’s. Felons can’t have firearms, and can’t associate around other felons, etc. all of those reasons are legitimate reasons for police to perform a “terry stop” or routine check/search for weapons/firearms. Then the felon subsequently started to struggle and resist and you could clearly see him reaching for a weapon… if you don’t like/want “police just busting in where ever and iLlEgAlLy |

Re: Philly Cop Fatally Shoots Guy Inside Gaming Machines Business
I guess it's best to hold judgement for a clearer picture of what happened, but the initial report seems to speak pretty poorly on the protocol of these cops. One appeared to shoot himself in the leg, the other one appeared to shoot the perp in his back out of confusion/urgency to retaliate, and as far as anyone can tell from the videos did they even manage to secure the gun at any point before the end of the cell phone footage or is the big guy on top of it? The camera man is urging them to get the gun off the guy, but I can't tell if he means it literally or for them to stop pointing their guns at the big guy. The officers acted brave enough in a rapidly escalated situation but it played out like an old Keystone Cops short.

Re: Philly Cop Fatally Shoots Guy Inside Gaming Machines Business
And how could I forget that NEITHER of two (2) separate guys had the muscle memory or aforethought to activate their body cam before entering, as they entered, as they conducted their business before shit hit the fan, or at the very least when they're taking a breather on top of the fatso while he's still alive considering two gunshots had just been fired off in a public place, someone could be dead or dying from a ricochet, and it's not certain they'd even secured the big green fat guy's "gun." I'm not trying to cast doubt on the fact that he had a gun, just that it was impossible to tell from watching the provided videos unless I missed something. |

Didn't look like the cop shot himself in the 3rd video. His gun was still holstered when the first shot was fired

Re: Philly Cop Fatally Shoots Guy Inside Gaming Machines Business
I watched it over and over to reach the most likely conclusion that: Cop A shot Cop B's legs while his gun was still in the holster. You can see they weren't wrestling any guns away from the deceased as both of them were only using 1 hand during the scuffle whilst trying to reach for their Glock with their other hand. This would be very unlikely if the suspect actually had a gun in his hand. Neither cop removed any weapons from the deceased after 2 gun shots - a major breach of protocol if he indeed had a gun. The only angle from which a gunshot could penetrate Officer B's thigh and calf in 1 shot would be from Officer A, as the suspect was in no position to shoot at such an angle. The gunshot also coincided with Officer A's reach to his Glock. |

Re: Philly Cop Fatally Shoots Guy Inside Gaming Machines Business
The bottom line is that the guy with the warrant fought back. Whether he had a gun, or was trying to get the officer’s weapon, or was just fighting, that was the risk he took. It’s also very easy to criticize things after the fact, when you can watch the videos second by second. The cops, in a very small area, heard the gunshot, one was hit, they secured the guy who was fighting, and who they thought was shooting… It was a bit messy by police standards, but it escalated quickly and they probably weren’t expecting it. |

Re: Philly Cop Fatally Shoots Guy Inside Gaming Machines Business
Has anyone actually watched the re-cap with the BIG yellow arrows??? It seems pretty obvious that the thug shot the cop way before either cop pulled their gun. Dude absolutely got what he deserved... |
