Re: Philippino Woman Hangs Herself from a ceiling fan
If she was still conscious why only use one hand to grab the rope?

Re: Philippino Woman Hangs Herself from a ceiling fan
Yeah, it’s odd. You can definitely pick out the unconcious, brain damagaed movements almost immediately after she starts but that attempt to flex both legs to get back to the ladder couldn’t have been accidental. Maybe she shifted the rope enough during her initial struggles to relieve some of the pressure on her cartoid and it woke her up briefly? It was interesting that attempt was also the last time she was really able to use her right leg, you can see her kicking solely with her left for another minute. I’d say it would match the kind of unilateral nervous system damage you’d see in a stroke, that weight on her neck combined with with the thrashing probably tore something important.

Re: Philippino Woman Hangs Herself from a ceiling fan
very good video. Would be nice to find the source, the video that is filmed, because the quality would be better than a screen filmed by a phone

Re: Philippino Woman Hangs Herself from a ceiling fan
You can have a pretty painless and quick death if you manage to cut out the blood circulation to the brain. Obviously that didn't happen here but she suffocated herself to death. Lot of people kill themselves by hanging so that their feet are still on the ground. That way you can lower your body slowly until you pass out. That's the way I'll go if I ever need to euthanize myself. I'd do that instead of losing my mind slowly and spending the rest of my days staring at the ceiling and being a burden to my loved ones. Or shooting some opiate into my veins or using some gas.

Re: Philippino Woman Hangs Herself from a ceiling fan
She wasnt out. Those inward clenched fists in the first minute or looks involuntary but they werent. She was trying to keep her hands down and from reaching for the rope which is what anyone would instinctively do when being strangled. She was in a lot of pain throughout but she was trying to go through with it by sheer willpower alone. How does one become unconscious and know exactly where the ladder was and try to reach for it with their leg? Remember, she was slowly spinning around as she was hanging.. dont you have to see where the ladder is? |

I don't think so. Looks like she may have changed her mind. Her eyes are open, and you can see she made a conscious effort to lift her leg and get back on the ladder, but inadvertently kicked it further away (offscreen). You can hear the scrape of metal as it slides across the concrete floor. After, she uneffectually tries to grab the rope and pull herself up. Such a waste of life. :/ |

Re: Philippino Woman Hangs Herself from a ceiling fan
there have been numerous examples of people who tried to hang themselves, but then somehow saved themselves with absolutely no recollection of it whatsoever perhaps those people were lying - perhaps they forgot the pain they felt while hanging - either way, the human body will do amazing things to save itself from danger |
