Peru: Italian Businessman Gunned Down
A man of Italian nationality who had just started a business selling pizzas in the popular resort of Máncora was shot and killed. According to police, it was a case of extortion. The incident occurred at 7:46 PM local time this past Tuesday when the victim, F.D, was outside his “El Italiano” hotel/restaurant, located behind the Máncora police station. 'F' was in the company of a young woman and a girl of approximately 3 years of age (reportedly his wife and daughter), who were aboard an ATV. |

Re: Peru: Italian Businessman Gunned Down
He died due to a gunshot wound with an entry hole in the neck and an exit hole in the occipital region. The foreigner would have refused to pay a quota to a gang of extortionists, who ended up fulfilling their death threats. The police authorities of Máncora carried out an operation and captured a suspect. |
