Back in the day people who worked as cashiers could say, "You know what, if someone tries to rob this place, I'll gladly hand over the keys and let them take whatever the hell they want. It ain't my money, I'm not gonna fucking die for it."

These days, you can't even take comfort in that, cause people will shoot you in the head just because your body is an inconvenience to them getting to the till that much faster.
