It is not because he is fundamentalist that he became fucked up. Any person can take Christian ideology or political view and consider it in moderation but someone who is fucked up will see thing like black and white and no in between. That is where he is fucked up I think, I studied psychology and trust me this man's problem doesn't start with his religion or political view.

He sees think in black and white and has an ability to rationalize killing people. This is called Macciaveliian thinking type, someone who has a goal and can justify anything for the goal. Even ordiniry people do the same thing, if you get excited and take the last piece of chocolate cake without thinking of the next guy you can justify it by the satisfaction of eating it.

Before he was expose to fundamentalist ideologies this guy was messed up in the head. Your garden vairety fundamentalist doesn't plan for years with his own chemical company to due a massacre. He most likely had some combination of personality disorders, my idea is he had antisocial, borderline, and some serious mood problems which motivate him to think in extreme. Just look at what he write, he takes his sister and mothers illness and blames the government for it, when his sister chose to have sex unprotected and his mother was involved in her own life affair.

No one is under the illusion that the world is happy bright place with flowers. If you work everyday and watch the news and see how people you know act toward each other that is enough to tell. This guy was fucked up and no matter what the kids in the camp said re: Israel- is a question of their political doctrination they are a youth group for these political things where older men and women teach them these things before they are old enough to know- its still inhuman what this guy did, and honestly I think the Scandinavian countries are too soft and treat their criminals like princesses.
