Re: Oslo (Norway) - Bomb explosion & Shooting Aftermath
I know, it's surreal. I got the same feeling with that picture of the Brazilian vigilantes setting the teenager on fire. We see so much aggression on TV it's bone-chilling to see it in real life. My thoughts go out to Norway.

Sister/wife in the center is HOT. Honestly, I think it's pretty messed up that Norway is so easy on killers. I saw the prison cell Varg Vikernes was in for killing his friend and setting afire to buildings, it was better than a three-star hotel here in the states! If he was here in Amurrica, he'd get what he deserves. |

Re: Oslo (Norway) - Bomb explosion & Shooting Aftermath
Do I really need to provide a list for you? -Gunpowder Plot in Britain -Civil conflicts in Ireland (Loyalist Volunteer Force vs. Irish National Liberation Army) -National Liberation Front of Tripura in India -National Socialist Council of Nagaland in India -Manmasi National Christian Army in Assam -Iron Guard in Romania -Lăncieri in Romania -The Lord's Resistance Army in Uganda -The Ku Klux Klan in U.S. -The Army of God (anti-abortion) in U.S. -The Christian Identity movement in U.S. -The Christian Patriot movement in U.S. -Lambs of Christ in U.S. -Concerned Christians in U.S. -Hutaree in U.S. -The Covenant, The Sword, and the Arm of the Lord in U.S. -Defensive Action in U.S. -The Freemen Community in U.S. -Westboro Baptist Church in U.S. Just because you are uneducated and haven't heard of Christian terrorism doesn't mean it doesn't exist. By the way, did you even bother to look at the link I posted FULL of Bible quotes that condone violence, bigotry and hatred towards others?? Yes. MOST. Not all. And the same can be said for Muslims and their religious doctrine. An estimated 20-25% of the world's population is Muslim - does that mean every Muslim out there believes that violence is the only way to approach people of different faiths? Of course not. I'm sorry, did I say everything is politically motivated? "Most of the time, if it's not religious beliefs as a motive, its political beliefs - and they often go hand-in-hand with eachother (although ideally they shouldn't)."Nope, didn't think so. I never said I disagreed with this part of your statement. In what way is the core of Christianity not violent as well? Have you ever even bothered to read the Old Testament? I mean hell, I'm an atheist too, but at least do some research so that it looks like you know what you're talking about. Yes, I can only assume - and that's exactly what I did. Did I claim he was motivated by religion? No. I said it would be ridiculous to rule it out, because most attacks like this are almost always politically or religiously motivated. So, in the same post where you talk about how one shouldn't make assumptions and criticize "name calling"... you make assumptions and resort to name calling. Do the core teachings of Islam condone violence? Yes. More than most other religions? Perhaps. Are a large percentage of terrorist groups Muslim? -In the U.S.? No. Only 6% of all terrorist attacks on U.S. soil were orchestrated by Muslims. -In the world? Probably. There's no official database keeping track of terrorist motives - at least none that I can find. Regardless - You consider yourself an "American", right? So shouldn't you promote the ideals of freedom, equality, etc.? Even IF Islam promotes the greatest terrorist threat to the world, it's STILL ignorant to exaggerate it as much as you - and others - tend to do. In the U.S., more events that qualify as "terrorism" according to the FBI were committed by Latinos - does that mean all Latinos should be profiled because of it? Of course not! That's ridiculous, right? But for some reason when "Latinos" is changed to "Muslims"... that's suddenly alright to do. Do you not see the flaw in that logic? |
