Seriously now, nobody dies, but a dude would have electrocuted, just like the rest of them, if it wasn't for his friend's high IQ.

In addition though, this video answers one of my longest running electrocution questions:

Can you touch the person?
Apparently, a little.

To clarify why the rescuer was able to touch the victim without ending up in a similar situation, look at how his hands were positioned when they made contact.

They were fully open, and he only touched the victim by the fingers, not the palm, or with him trying to grasp the victim to pull him away.

This meant that, even if the muscles of his hand did contract due to the current, there wasn't a risk that he'd be involuntarily grabbing the victim.

...damn quick thinking on his part with the towel though.

I would like to know that. This was just one of the "Recommends" that course into your video stream when you are subscribed to RT. They must spend a fortune buying amateur video. This was only a few minutes old when I posted, but sometimes they'll hunt people down from the videos they buy, even for just a webcam interview.

I have to learn how to nutshell better. I effing could have just wrote "Agreed!"
