One Dead when Two Retired Military Police Officers Shoot at Eachother
Brazil, video shows the monemt that two retired military police officers talked for at least 30 seconds before shots were fired south of Sao Paulo, on Saturday afternoon (6/5). After the shooting the retired Corporal died and the retired soldier was taken to the hospital. The video calls into question the version given by the Military Police, that, after being approached by the Corporal, the soldier "would have understood that it was an assault and acted by starting the shooting." The images show that the two of them crossed the street talking, both with the gun hidden in the waist. After the conversation, one PM pushes the other, pulls a gun, shoots, and walks toward his fallen comrade. Even while lying down, the PM still managed to draw his gun from the waist and also shoots at the soldier. The video closes with the fallen military police still trying to shoot the other. In a statement, the PM said that the Corporal provided security service to a pet shop in the area, while the soldier worked in personal security. |

And people are constantly criticizing cops in the US for using 'too many' shots.  If the first guy to shoot would have fired 4-6 rounds, he never would have been shot himself. Targets are rarely permanently 'neutralized' instantaneously with one shot. Better to make sure that they are "really most sincerely dead". |
