One Dead, Six Injured, in CJNG Shootout in Shopping Mall, Mexico
After the shooting recorded this Sunday afternoon, in the vicinity of the Andares Shopping Center, in Zapopan, Jalisco, where 6 people were injured and one more lost his life, President López Obrador said during the morning conference this Monday , that the confrontation took place between security of a businessman, whom they wanted to kidnap, with a group related to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. In addition, the President regretted that images of the confrontation had been disseminated on social networks and stressed that the presence of the Army in yesterday's shootout, in Colonia Puerta de Hierro, occurred because it was allowed to intervene in matters of public security. The President highlighted that, according to the report presented at the morning meeting of the security cabinet, they tried to raise a businessman dedicated to the sale and purchase of automobiles, when a criminal group, linked to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, tried to kidnap the businessman, Unleashing a shootout, he added that the injured belong to both the criminals and the security of the man they tried to lift. The dead man was allegedly one of the security men.     |
