Off-Duty Police Officer Punches and Shoots His Wife
In the North Zone of São Paulo, an off-duty plainclothes police officer, T.C.d.L., punched his wife, 33-year-old E.S.F.d.L., in the face five times before shooting her three times after they argued whilst driving. E. was hit by two of the shots, and was taken by T. to the nearby hospital, where her death was confirmed.

According to the police report, T. confessed to shooting his wife after an argument. CCTV images showed E. attempt to drag T. out of the back seat of the vehicle shortly before she was killed. He claimed that she had tried to take his gun, so he shot her. However, CCTV images contradict this version of events. The military police officer's Glock .40 caliber pistol was seized for forensic analysis, and T. has been charged with murder.
