Ummm no. This guy was armed with a knife and they gave him several orders to drop the knife. Also, they only fired ONE shot. He might have lived, but didn't. This is how it SHOULD be done. You can try and blur the lines all you like. There IS police brutality and racism riddled throughout America. NOT Canada. But just AMerica. If a 12 year old is shot dead within 2 seconds of police arriving and then it is found that he had a toy pistol, that is ridiculous. If a 17 year is shot 7 times, twice in the head, for j-walking and had NO weapon that is ridiculous. However, this situation does not qualify as excessive force. The cops did their job fairly well. Although, screaming at someone is not a good way to de-escalate a situation. Psychology should be a mandatory part of a police officers training. Loud noise and screaming can easily escalate a situation to where it didn't need to be. Cops love to do that because they are so poorly educated and trained. Sorry, that's just a fact. Deny it all you like. |

I'm from Ridgewood, the neighborhood next to Williamsburg where the incident occurred. Trust me when I say that most likely the"victim" provoked the attacker. These hasidim are the most racist and hateful people. Regularly they harass blacks and Latino kids for being in "their" neighborhood. They harassed me because I don't respect their Sabbath. I have no sympathy for them at all.
