If I was shot in the chest and the police kept screaming at me to drop a knife or not move, I'm sorry but after someone downs me and I've got only a few moments left of life you can bet your ass my respect and concern for authority will go right out the window. Also they coulda shot him in the legs a few times that would've immobilized his crazy ass.
