Why is it this dude and a lot of other electricity deaths on here are instant, literally a few seconds, but when an inmate gets the chair it can take up to 10 minutes?

~ It always depends on how much ac or dc voltage, & current, is being conducted, for it to kill you. ~ So as long as you make a connection to ground then you become electrocuted. ~ In this case the truck was not safely grounded to the truck's metal frame, so when the guy touched the metal door, & since he was wearing leather sandals which are made of conductive material, then he made a connection with the patch of bare ground, which looks recently moist. ~ However as Tyrantus mentioned, a cheap yellow cable is located on the ground directly connected to the truck. https://letstalkscience.ca/education...volts-kill-you |
