Likely had been running the compressor using line voltage while the truck engine is not running. A loose motor winding touches the motor frame, and this is what you get when you either snip off the grounding lug on the plug, or skip the motor frame ground connection when installing the motor.  |

Just now learned India uses 220 volts for all their electrical appliances and outlets, which is why he died so instantly. I wonder how many little kids get killed in countries using that as standard voltage (i.e. Britain)?
