Too many John Q Publics running around with a firearms & thinking they are law enforcement. This is a perfect example of that. More time at the range & less time at Krispy Kreme might have helped.

And that's fine if he does more than I ever do. My responsibility is for the safety of myself & my family, not others. The first thing the instructor talked about in my LTC class years ago is to GET OUT of the situation you're in if you can; if someone else gets injured or killed, oh well. You damn sure don't purposely get yourself into a situation like he did trying to play hero. Two other things that the instructor hammered away on: drawing down should be the last option & having a gun doesn't make you a LEO. |
