Compared to other beheadings Ive seen on here, this dude seemed to have found peace quite early on, which makes it a bit more tolerable to watch, but I wonder if he was still aware, because his eyes didn't close until his neck was nearly cut through.

I suspect that from the time he looked up and left until his eyes closed he was in an altered and fading level of awareness. There are some arteries that go up near the spine that would’ve continued to push some blood into his brain as long as his heart kept pushing it up there, but with how much blood he was losing the cerebral perfusion was still fading fast (but not fast enough for the circumstances he was in.)

Yeah but for making things difficult they’d probably just torture you more. It was bad already for this guy but they could’ve made it even worse (not to give anybody ideas, but had they put special effort into controlling bleeding while dissecting him it could’ve been made to last so much longer which is just terrifying.)

Could’ve taken a page from the Mexicans and lit his open chest on fire with a little rubbing alcohol, before the beheading. I think I read that Native Americans would bind someone up and light small controlled fires under their hands and feet. Also, hang them upside down and cook their heads above a small fire. Not for eating, just pain. Different tribes would do signature mutilations and put them on display as warnings or messages. Shits brutal
