Isn't modern war just a question of who can kill the most civilians? Look at the numbers.

the group who bombs innocent people going about their normal daily life simply because they have a different belief to them,

I wondered the exact same thing. I was hoping the camera guy would pan over them 1 more time to see if there was any blood coming from him. It looked like the bullet missed him also. Falling to the ground first before getting shot, not a bad idea.

Collateral damage is virtually unavoidable, and it is mitigated where possible by the rules of engagement which guide civilised nations in the manner in which they undertake combat operations.

However …..

If flying planes into towers in the centre of New York and killing 3000, and leaving tens of thousands of family members to grieve their loss, and millions more unable to move around their home town and earn a living for a long time afterwards - is acceptable ……. then I say, incinerating some towel headed breeders and their diseased offspring is acceptable at any time as a result.

In fact, I envy the men and women who get to make that choice - I could wipe out a village of them and then go back to drinking my cappuccino.

If you are in the military, aren't you being paid, fed, housed, given medical insurance, a pension and the same for your family? Would you do it if you weren't being paid? Next time you get paid, send me a thank you note.

Why would I "pick up a weapon" to invade some country. We should just take care of our own people and leave other countries alone.

Your taxation contribution wouldn't pay for a weeks worth of rations for a man in the field.

As for "taking care of our own people" ……. why don't you offer up the spare room in your home to house a homeless person for the winter if you feel the need to exorcise the ghost of Mother Teresa from your system ?
