Re: Neighbour Kills Couple Over Dispute About Their Barking Dog
Our Schampers just passed away last week. But fuck did he love barking. At nothing anything and everything (except for when a 17 year old was shot dead behind our house, I think when it happened, he was growling). So Schamps really loved barking. We lived on a street where people had dogs, but really well behaved dogs that didn’t bark or chase neighbors. Once in awhile our dogs would slip out the door and go running about and there I’d go chasing after them, screaming their names and halt/stop. Omg lol. Years later I’m like omg wtaf did our neighbors think when theyd hear or see me running down the street, screaming and trying to catch whichever of our dogs escaped. We moved to a different town and the neighborhood we live in, it’s all townhomes. They have a path that circles the entire area, and it was/is music to me ears, as we were walking by the front of houses and backyards, dogs were barking like lunatics. And it was hilarious because our dogs didn’t bother barking back like they would usually do before. Theyd just continue walking and peeing, ignoring the barks. Lol. I was like see how crazy y’all sound?! But yeah. A ton of people have dogs here and they be barking. So we did allow Schamps to go in the backyard and bark when he wanted to, but obviously get him if it was excessive and night time. Now of our 2 remaining dogs, one does still like to bark, but not near as much as Schamps did. God. Schamps would bark at every little sound. I’d have to go open the door so he could look out and see no one was at the door or loitering around lol. But still wasn’t enough sometimes, he’d continue the barking. I was like, I guess you are barking at fucking ghosts. The only explanation! I personally have nothing against dogs continually barking, as long as they aren’t suffering, like being forced to be outside in the heat or cold or not have water or food. I’m like let them bark. But I guess living in a house for almost 10 years with dogs that love barking, has helped me just automatically tune noises out. Including neighbors dogs barking. |

This reminds me of the show Fear Thy Neighbor. 6 seasons of (American) neighbors ruining each other’s lives, killing each other over the dumbest shit, including barking dogs.

I totally agree with this as somebody who has been on the shitty end of this kind of thing. Constant dog barking can drive you to distraction and in this case, murder.

Re: Neighbour Kills Couple Over Dispute About Their Barking Dog
Not sure why some of you think its perfectly fine to murder people because they have annoying barking dogs lol, the fuck's wrong with you? Now I'm not advocating this because I love dogs... but if the guy was really that upset about the barking, he should've just shot the dog and dealt with consequences that I'm sure would be less severe than killing 2 people will be. Now I kind of hope that wherever they lock this guy up has dogs nearby that can be heard constantly barking and he cant do a fucking thing about it. |

Re: Neighbour Kills Couple Over Dispute About Their Barking Dog
Because if he shot the dog, the family would just go out and adopt ANOTHER dog, probably with a brother dog, and both yappers. Then he'd have to listen to THAT. By killing the people, the problem is over. The next people who move in will probably have nice, quiet, scheming cats. Since they nap so much, all their cat schemes come to nothing, so he wouldn't be bothered by dog noise, or the problem of dealing with the feline Death Camps. Ah, bliss! |

I don’t condone what he did at any level, but I can definitely relate to his frustration. I can’t count the number of times my neighbors’ dogs have driven me to murderous rage by barking nonstop in the middle of the night.
