There is an endless discussion about tasers in Germany. They are criticised mostly because of they're used so recklessly by the American police. It is sometimes said that they can be more dangerous than a gun. Maybe this is why there are only 4... I myself have never seen a cop with one. For the "normal" person, tasers are banned since 2008. |

Isnt there a rule that when the attacker comes in 20feet or closer they have the right to shoot? But this man detail is still sketchy.

Not in Berlin. Because they would never measure a distance in feet^^. I recently talked to the father of a freind of mine who is a pretty high states prosecutor and he confirmed that policemen are not allowed to aim at people but at the ground - always. I know, this is no proof, I could write anything in this forum. Also the father is a lefty so it could be wishful thinking...^^ Just wanted to add this though. |
