Re: Naked Man with History of Mental Illness Shot by Cop
Yeah, this is a BAD shoot. It definitely could have been deescalated or non-lethal force applied instead of going for his gun as the first option.

Re: Naked Man with History of Mental Illness Shot by Cop
Why do you think he said "He's naked and threatening my life." before baiting him? I'm always reminded of that cop that was beating a dude on the side of the road, yelling "Stop resisting!" And the guy was already dead. |

Once the words "I wanna help you dude" were spoken, I knew what the outcome would be.

Re: Naked Man with History of Mental Illness Shot by Cop
Another senseless murder that could’ve easily been avoided had he used a taser or even a shot to the leg. I know there are a lot of cop cocksuckers on this site that will say otherwise. The man was mentally ill ffs and the officer knew that beforehand. I’m curious who is gonna quote me and how are you gonna justify this?

Re: Naked Man with History of Mental Illness Shot by Cop
Assuming most of you didn't see the entire ordeal this officer had issues with this guy that whole day. In the morning he got him an ambulance for having a "heart attack" then once they got him to the hospital he tried to book it. The guy was a heroin addict and knew the cop who shot him. Its not passive aggressive its actual concern before the shoot. Also tazers don't work 100% of the time and some departments don't have a budget for less than lethal. On top of that the officer knew he had blood bourne diseases and didn't want to have physical contact with the suspect without back up. It is what it is. Cant save everyone |
