The overall crime rates for the subway has risen in the past 6 months. Rape, mugging, assaults, etc. Substance abuse rate is higher. The support systems for those who are struggling are overwhelmed. It’s surprising that there aren’t more, honestly. I moved out of NYC a while back, but I see this reflected in the suburbs in LI too. Crime is getting worse and worse.

That and suicides on the train tracks. I have relatives who work in the MTA and friends who are conductors. It’s a quite bloody job
