There is an Amazon fullfillment center in the city I grew up in (which has turned into a war zone). I read the online police blotter from time to time. Seems like the cops are there a few times a week for either stealing for violence among co-workers. I think it's getting to the point where the job application should ask the applicant to document their gang affiliation.

(WAFB) - An 18-year-old murder suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting at the Amazon Fulfillment Center. Carlgene Nash, 18, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon charges. The shooting happened late Monday night, leading to a prompt evacuation of employees inside the facility, located at the site of the former Cortana Mall off Florida Boulevard. Baton Rouge police said there was an argument/fight between the shooting victim, identified as Daylon Anthony, 21, and Nash outside the main entrance of the facility that led to gunfire. A video recorded by a bystander shows the two men just outside the building before Anthony opens a glass door and rushes inside. The footage shows Nash following him inside and quickly firing four gunshots. Police said Nash fired his gun as Anthony was running away from him. Anthony died as a result of injuries sustained in the shooting. Police did not disclose why Anthony was at the facility. They said he was a former employee of Amazon since December 2024.  |
