Motorcyclist Killed when a Car Crashes into Him in Front of a Bus
Peru. A motorist drove into the opposite lane, causing a collision with an interprovincial bus that left a motorcyclist, A.L.A, 24, a gas delivery man, trapped between the two vehicles. Witnesses to the incident indicate that the car driver, the presumed person responsible for the collision, appeared to be intoxicated, and that his own family members may have tried to hide evidence. The well-known car racer Danilo E, known in the sporting world as "El Toto", has been identified as the presumed responsible for the tragic accident. The sportsman's lawyer claimed that his sponsor "blinked" at the wheel, which would have caused the impact. According to witnesses, the Prosecutor's Office would have taken more than five hours to arrive at the scene of the accident, and there are those who report alleged irregularities by some personnel of the Peru National Police, who, they claim, tried to favor the driver involved. The police launched a thorough investigation, while the gas company has demanded justice for their deceased worker. |

Clearly the car driver's fault. Yet I am surprised that the motorcyclist apparently made no attempt to avoid the collision. There was a lot of room off the road to his right.
