in case you think u are a top notch biker, consider Isle of Man TT = Tourist Trophy
it is not a bike race, it's in fact a time trial.
Isle of Man is located in the Irish See between Ireland and Brexitengland.
It has its own gov and laws, and since 1907 they have a road bike race.

average speed from start <50 mph to >200 mph last years


Almost 2 deaths / year.
Many ferries are visiting those Isle of Man ports.
Some ferries have extensive deep freeze capabilities for lobsters and coffin flesh.

Many marshalls are ex racers, volunteering to fetch the afterlife out of the trees.

Great race

But one should try to avoid riding directly in the path of the bike in front at those speeds. He doesn't even have to hit the break, just letting off the throttle would make a bad day for both.
