He has a red scarf or bandana, you can see it when he is airborne and flying feet first after hitting the mound. Then, when his head hits the pavement, you can clearly see his head, hair and beard on the pavement, but the red scarf is gone.

I dunno. It's hard to say if he died or not. His head is definately not 'exploded' like the title says. But, could be a concussion or severe enough to die. Surely there's more info available on this. It just happened a few days ago according to the time stamp on the video.
