Mother and 8 Year Old Boy on Crosswalk Dragged by Dump Truck
Romania, A 36 year old mother and her 8 year old son were run over by a dump truck when they were walking on a crosswalk. They were dragged several feet. The boy was conscious immediately after being hit, and he sat up for a few moments. One of the passersby kept his hand till the ambulance arrived. The mother had a deep wound to her right leg and went into hemorrhagic shock and hemodynamic shock. Upon arriving in the hospital docs told she could not be operated for the leg wound because of fear of blood clots. Doctors worry that problems with blood clotting may be fatal and are reserved about her chances of survival. She died that night of cardio-respiratory arrest. The boy was brought to a hospital in Bucharest. The trucker faces manslaughter charges. The truck driver told police he never saw them. |

Being a truck driver myself. It is possible he was distracted, but a good driver is aware of what's around him. All in all he shouldn't have a cdl.

No the fucking idiots are the people who: a. continue to drive around the accident b. the people not stopping traffic That was another accident waiting to happen, the kid and the guy. |

Yeah, I can see how running over people in a marked crosswalk, on a clear day, who are right in front the driver's face is totally reasonable.There's a reason he was charged.

The idiots. T  he truck driver and pedestrians. How the fucking hell would you cross the street with out knowing that truck is turning a corner and they did not see them. The truck driver is an idiot to,They both had bad judgment.

Don't Blame The Driver!!! Did you see how TALL the truck is??? Is Twice as Tall as a Human Been, and she is at fault because she got hit by the "BLIND SPOT" of the truck, when you turn a truck that tall you don't see whats on the corner of the truck, you are looking straight not watching the right corner of the truck, the truck has the Go and then the Pedastrians

Sorry meant to say that Yes the driver is a fucking idiot, but so are the rest of the fucking idiots on the scene. And yes I would agree that it was likely him on his cell. I got hit by a woman texting at a red light who forgot what she was doing and let her foot off the clutch. Car jumped forward and I still have a divet in my leg. |

I have been a truck drive for 30 years, you see the two people, you see the zebra crossing, you don't think are they going to cross, you think they are going to cross and your eyes would be on them all the time, a woman and a small child would not know they are difficult to see from a truck drivers view, driving a truck you don't let you consentration drop for half a second.
