Morbidly Obese Man Found Dead in His Filth-Ridden House
In Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a morbidly obese man was found dead in his residence. The property, which was in an extremely dirty state and had accumulated a large amount of objects, presented typical characteristics of a hoarder's house. According to neighbours, the man, who lived alone, was a recluse and rarely received visitors. The body was discovered after local residents noticed a strong odour coming from the residence. The situation at the house caught the attention of rescue teams, who reported difficulties in accessing the site due to the amount of accumulated refuse. Cleaning services and social services were called in to deal with the property. |

He’s not a hoarder. You can see the floor. He definitely lives like a pig in filth but if he were a hoarder there would be shit piled from floor to ceiling. Usually there’s a path through the home around all of the stacked garbage. I’ve been wrong before and will be again but I don’t think he was a hoarder in the sense I’m thinking. I’ll guess his heart gave out trying to pump blood to and through that body.. just couldn’t keep up with the job. |

They’ll need to take a wall down and use a forklift once they cut the floor out or figure a way to strap him up. 10 men couldn’t coordinate a good lift to move him out of the house. He’s got to weigh close to if not over 500lbs. It’s a job for hydraulics and machinery . |

Re: Morbidly Obese Man Found Dead in His Filth-Ridden House
Could be the translation, my source used the term "casa de acumuladores" (hoarder's house). Could be a fuck-up on my part. Maybe it's less "hoarding" and more "wasn't able to take out the rubbish". I'll edit the title and add some clarification on my initial post. |
