A monster truck exhibition turned into tragedy when one of the vehicles lost control and ploughed into spectators, killing at least one person and injuring dozens.

Videos circulating on social media showed the vehicle veering off course, breaching safety barriers and striking members of the crowd. Initial reports indicated one fatality at the scene, with the number of injured ranging from at least 15 to as many as 37.

According to preliminary reports, a female driver lost control of the monster truck during a manoeuvre. The high-powered vehicle, designed for extreme performances, entered the spectator area, apparently due to brake failure.

Not a monster truck fan but even I can tell that area is
too small for that kind of 'entertainment.' Like those
gate barriers are going to stop one of these vehicles.

Maybe next time they could do it in one of those large, fancy stadiums where spectators can sit on long ass benches in tiered rows instead of standing around in the dirt.
