Agree. If you slow the speed it looks like the guy in blue realized the victim was tipping off the platform into the train, and rapidly tried to grab them man's collar and yank him back. Blue guy's arm flung back, but he had lost his grip and was empty handed.

But afterwards, he does not act like a man who tried and missed, he acts like he won a fight.
