Minneapolis Man is Killed After Being Pushed Onto Light Rail Tracks
A man was struck and killed by a train in downtown Minneapolis when he fell onto a light rail track during a fight. 41-year-old R.E.S. died from "multiple blunt force injuries and traumatic asphyxia due to collision with and compression by light rail train following physical altercation." S. had reportedly been involved in a fight on the station platform that led to him falling onto the tracks as a train approached. The medical examiner listed his manner of death as "homicide." A 29-year-old man, D.S.R., was apprehended by police on probable murder, but was released. 27-year-old T.B-R. was arrested for aiding an offender, but was also released. Charges in the case are being deferred pending toxicology reports, a final autopsy report, and additional investigations from law enforcement. |

Hmm, looked like the guy was already leaning into the oncoming train and the other guy hit him in the head. Doesn’t look like he intended to push the guy on the tracks to me.
