The incident started when the PM Sgt. was traveling in the bus and realized that the bus driver was being chased by four men in a Ford Ka.

The men stopped next to the bus at a gas station and started attacking the bus driver, claiming that he had 'cut off' the passenger car.

At that time, the plainclothed PM intervened but was dragged outside the bus by the men. One of them took the sergeant's gun and the other three started the beating. Finally, the person who took the gun shot at the policeman, who died on the spot.
