Re: Mexico - Female Street Food Vendor Executed
A video from a security camera shows a woman being attacked with bullets while preparing hamburgers in a restaurant located on the streets of the town. Eyewitness accounts claim that the woman would have refused to “pay the fee” to organized crime and would have asked the Mexico City Prosecutor's Office for help, however, no one paid attention to her. The events occurred on October 27 when the victim identified as “M. E” was working in her establishment with her daughter. Apparently they were serving a client hamburgers when two subjects arrived aboard a motorcycle and one of them repeatedly fired his firearm, then fled with his accomplice. After hearing the bullet impacts, the client and the victim's daughter sought refuge. After the murderers fled they tried to help her, however, there was little they could do for the woman. According to reports from the CDX Prosecutor's Office, M. E. died that day around 10:30 p.m. The assassination of Mrs. E. would have been motivated by a pretext Since two years before her murder, M. E. asked for help from the Mexican City Prosecutor's Office, as she claimed that she was a victim of a group of drug traffickers and extortors, identified as Cadena Azul, whose members, through threats, tried to seize a property owned by the woman. Said premises are located in the colony El Triangulo, Iztapalapa mayor. There, for seven years ago, members of the criminal group left notes with threats. She had already reported criminals to the FGJ Because of these threats, Mrs. M. E, since 2016, filed a complaint with the FGJ of Mexico City, whose investigations did not yield results. According to a journalist the criminal group Cadena Azul is led by Carmen Saldaña Jurado and Eli Homero Aguilar, who orchestrated a previous attack against Mrs. E, which left Mrs. E gunshot wounds after several assassins fired at her local. Subsequently, on December 21, 2022, members of the Blue Chain presented E. and her family a pig head with a message of intimidation to leave the premises. Today, after the murder of her mother, E's daughter, Viridiana, fears for her life, because the threats have been for years and assure have not been protected by the authorities of Mexico City. |
