Vietnam. The elderly couple was traveling on a motorcycle and stopped at a red light. When the light turned green and they signaled to turn left, a large delivery truck struck them from behind, resulting in both of them getting killed. The truck driver failed to stop immediately, continued for more than 100 meters before coming to a halt. Local police are currently investigating the exact cause of the crash.

The victims were all the way over to the right side of the road. As far as I could tell, the victims put their turn signal on at the very last second. If that delivery truck didn’t run them over, another vehicle from the left lanes would have. But that’s the way it goes here, motorbike riders don’t look before turning, or driving straight, making a U-turn, changing lanes, etc, etc. They don’t look!

To me, it looked like the truck just ran them over - as if he didn’t see them. I didn’t see the vics signaling nor turning left. Truck just💥 ran over them. Maybe not deliberately but he did and then kept on a going. Maybe I can’t see for shit but i watched it several times. Pretty fucked up. They were both moving (for a bit) after being run over too, adding to the chaos. Drivers in SE Asia are f-ing nuts. Free for all. How anyone survives driving there for more than a week is a mystery.

So many two wheel vehicles and everyone going in all sorts of directions while some hurry others are riding casually right into blind spots etc. Traffic is nightmarish at best.

I see the turn signal but agree, that truck just mows over them. It's not like they pulled out in front, they were just slower than then the truck. The truck seems to continue to accelerate even after the initial impact as though it was purposeful but then why stop later? Strange.
