Indonesia. Wednesday in a boarding room on East Kalimantan a tragic discovery took place when the owner of the boarding room received information from a resident about bloodstains coming from under the door of one of the rooms.

He tried to open the door with a spare key but was unsuccessful. A foul odor was coming from inside the room and blood was visible at the bottom of the door.

Feeling suspicious, he then informed the local head of the neighborhood. The report was forwarded to the police at approximately 5:27 PM local time.

Police officers who arrived at the scene immediately conducted a preliminary investigation, gathered witness statements and set up a police cordon around the scene

The victim was identified as Desi A, a 21 year old woman.

According to initial information at the scene, the victim was found in the area in front of the room's entrance, hanging by a long black cloth tied around her neck and attached to the door of the boarding room.

Investigation showed she was hanging there for approx. 3 or 4 days prior to the discovery. She was last seen with a man and at that time both were reprimanded by the guesthouse owner and the man later left the premises.

The victim rented the room since 2 weeks and provided no ID at that time.
