Re: Man's Head Crushed to Death by Heavy Glass
When I was a teenager over half century ago I worked for Pittsburgh Plate Glass in a big warehouse up in Minneapolis, MN. We were constantly being urged to be very careful about dealing with "stacks" of glass like these two guys were handling. When you tip a ton of glass over like that you better have quick reflexes so it doesn't land on you. I was a teen then so I had had no bad experiences as yet but the older guys had seen several fatal accidents. That was before OSHA so the safeguards were few and far between. You would get yelled at by the seniors if you were caught being stupid. I paid attention which would tend to explain why I am alive to write this screed today: |

Re: Man's Head Crushed to Death by Heavy Glass
I ‘think’ what crushes him is a box of several glass windows stacked up. You can see the guy in the foreground with just one. This shit is expensive and dropping one probably gets you fired. Victim probably was concerned about company property and his reflex was decided before he realized how damn heavy that box was! I hate seeing people trying to make an honest living, get wasted. Bummer. |
