Man Who Suffered Heart Attack at Hospital Clinic is Ignored for Several Minutes
A patient in an outpatient clinic in Ufa, Russia, died on a bench at the entrance and lay unattended for 15 minutes. A man came to City Clinical Hospital No. 18 early in the morning and was about to undergo tests, but felt unwell. After lying down at the door his heart stopped. The doctors - a paramedic, a general practitioner and a cardiologist - were called by a security guard, but everyone reacted too late. An ambulance arrived for resuscitation, stating death half an hour later. The deceased had ischaemic heart disease, but at an examination the day before the doctors declared his condition satisfactory. |
