It is and it Isn't, for the most part it's still Relatively safe in the Tourist-y parts, safer than the City of Chicago, I think, I have been to Both. I frequent Ensenada, BC and Rosarito at least a couple of times a Year, I have been to Zacatecas, Guadalajara and Sinaloa, Times a Many, Usually Sicarios Kill each other, rarely do the Murder Americans. Brazil on the other hand is by definition a SHITHOLE Country, I would Never, Ever, Ever, ever, go there.

That's true, if it wasn't we would have seen lots of videos of American tourists being beheaded by sicarios, they have a war against other Cartels not against tourists and people at large as the American media would want you to believe.
Now being killed in the crossfire is another thing but that rarely happens.
