*sigh* it wasn't a handler but a dipshit tourist. there's info posted all over this thread about it. Whoever recorded THIS video was recording a monitor where they were watching the actual surveillance camera footage. I see this a lot on this site. Not unusual. Likely the investigators or owner of the DVR it was recorded on.

I watched that video wondering if the noise that body made as the little elephant stomped on it was the same as the noise a whoopee cushion makes when you sit on it. Is that very wrong of me?  |

If any creature deserves to evolve to the same level as humans, it's elephants. I told a buddy of mine that and he was like, "Yeah, but then we'd have to compete with them," but I disagree. Elephants are by default chill as fuck (except for bulls during mating season, but that's all mammals) and their brains are a lot bigger, so they'd be far smarter and enlightened. Just look at how they've protected kind handlers from predator attacks. It would start as cooperation, and we'd wind up worshipping them as benevolent gods to the great benefit of both species. Either that, or we'd get all insecure like we usually do and try to attack them, and they'd wipe us the fuck out in short order like the one in this video did to ol' boy. Either way, win-win.  |

That elephant clearly had murder on his mind ... took a swat at the guy, then deliberately killed him and made triple sure the deed was final. Damn, WHAT did that guy do to the elephant? That was a thoughtful act with malice aforethought.

An accumulation of maltreatment over time and was fed up. Very intelligent creatures with cognitive thoughts and feelings. They have the same lifespan as humans and amongst mammals in the animal kingdom are up there with whales on the smart scale... |
