Re: Man Shot by Immigration & Customs Enforcement in MN, Jan 24
Use some logic.. how is it that ICE is operating all over the country, even in other deep blue cities but aren't seeing the same chaos? You don't think local politicians are inflaming this situation to the point where people act stupid? ICE is operating full swing in Houston but no protests, no shootings. Seems like the cities that have politicians that are inciting this violence have one thing in common.. but no, ICE is to blame. |

Re: Man Shot by Immigration & Customs Enforcement in MN, Jan 24
Yes, this is a problem. Other states have Democrat leaders that enforce the rule of law and accept federal law. The key issue with Minnesota riots is that they don’t want federal law enforced. It is a major issue because if Washington DC allows the territory of Minnesota to bypass federal law, it sets a really bad precedent for other cites and states so it’s important that law enforcement continues there, but also they need to be careful and do their job without all the theatrics. I don’t know if it’s to please the people who voted for Trump, like to show them immigration enforcement is happening like they want and voted for, but ICE needs to go back to being more inconspicuous and quiet in their job. They used to wear black like FBI or DEA and just show up where the undocumented are, without a show and get their job done. I’ve see it first hand and it was peaceful, though this was in the 1990’s, in Seattle of all places. I was sitting at a Mexican restaurant and they just walked in the door, a group of 3 of them, and went to the back kitchen and took some guys and escorted them out in handcuff. No shouting, no theatrics, no macho stuff. Just straight and to the point. They didn’t cause a scene or use anyone as bait to get the guys, they just went in quietly and did their job. I’m neither a right winger or A left winger. I think both republicans and democrats are corrupt as f*ck. Not the voters but the politicians. I am more of a libertarian type, I don’t give two shits if someone is illegal or undocumented, but if they harm people and are actual criminals, yeah they need to go. Those types aren’t good for society in any way, and can’t be reformed in most cases. Minnesota is being ran by seditionists, it’s obvious. They’re playing a game they can’t win though. |

My take away from this "preliminary review" is CBP did not determine at this stage that Pretti:

Re: Man Shot by Immigration & Customs Enforcement in MN, Jan 24
I am having a hard time in any of the videos hearing anyone identifying themselves as law enforcement and placing Pretti under arrest. I never heard them tell him he was under arrest. I'm an old man and my hearing isn't great. There was a lot of noise, but I never heard it. The sworn affidavits from the eyewitnesses also said he was never placed under arrest. He was just bum-rushed by several masked men when he tried to help that woman to her feet. What were they arresting him for, that he was resisting? The 'enforcement operation' they were conducting was halfway down the block from where he was filming and directing cars to avoid a traffic pileup. Two women were yelling at them half a block away and they ran away when the agents started getting handsy. He stepped in when one of them knocked a girl over and tried to help her up. He was doing so half a foot from the curb, in front of a parked car. 'Attempted to move him out of the roadway, but he would not move'? Dude was literally a half-foot from the curb. He was obviously trying to help get that girl back on her feet. Right next to the curb. In front of a parked car. You can physically see them PULL him back into the street even as he was trying to help the woman stand up and move out of harm's way. Both of them had been moving from the middle of the street towards the sidewalk when she was knocked down and he stopped to help her. They arrested him for being in the street and then dragged him back into the street? He started in the street and ended up on the curb before they dragged him back out. That report is a fucking fiasco. Are they trying to claim he was being arrested for 'obstruction' of their federal enforcement operation half a block away? What was he obstructing? They chased two American citizens halfway down the block AWAY from their operation and then telepathically told Pretti he was under arrest for standing in the street when he was, as is clearly evident in the videos, half a foot from the sidewalk and trying to help a woman who they had knocked over? The verbiage they use in their report contradicts the eyewitnesses and, frankly, doesn't make a lot of sense. I still don't understand the grounds for his alleged arrest. |
