Re: Man Shot in the Face, Blood Pours from Mouth + Cheek Wound
Same here! In the late 90's + early 00's, I was always on Rotten, Ogrish + Charon Boat. Though I got into gore around 1988 (when I was only 5 years old!). We had a book of unsolved murders + mysteries + I LOVED it! I had the reading level of an adult at a very young age, so I used to sneak a read of that book all the time + look at the pictures! I spent my early teens borrowing books on serial killers from the library! I used to also sneak down in the middle of the night to watch horror films on Sky when I was 6/7.

Re: Man Shot in the Face, Blood Pours from Mouth + Cheek Wound
I remember when I was around the same age you mentioned (6 to 7) waking up and going out into the loungeroom where Mum and Dad had "The Creature from The Black Lagoon" on late at night, and I walked in right at the point where the creature had just scooped the woman up from the boat, and was diving back into the water with her. That scared me so much, I was scared to even take a bath then !!. |

Re: Man Shot in the Face, Blood Pours from Mouth + Cheek Wound
And look at us !! We grew up to be well adjusted productive adults, with healthy minds and hobbies. We raise families, we have careers, we run households ........... we lock ourselves up in our basements, and watch men and women from around the globe get torn asunder by all manner of moving objects; decimated by blade, bullet and beast; pulverised and pounded into a pastiche of pixelated mayhem ...... Nahh, nothing wrong with us. Move along, nothing to see here folks. PS: I hope you appreciate my exaggerated use of alliteration and onomatopoeia in my reply to you Simone ..... I am secretly hoping Time Magazine trawls these sections looking for the next great undiscovered writer |

Re: Man Shot in the Face, Blood Pours from Mouth + Cheek Wound
This fountain reminds me RiversEdge of the song "The Ballad of Jed Clampett" ...... Come and listen to my story about a man named Jed A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed, And then one day he was shootin at some food, And up through the ground come a bubblin crude. Blood that is, red gold, Dying old man juice. |

Re: Man Shot in the Face, Blood Pours from Mouth + Cheek Wound
I remember Ogrish. My first beheading. When i was a kid, i would get those detective magazines and just be hypnotized by the crime scene photos. I think I was probably around 8 or 9. Always thought there must be something wrong with me.....

Re: Man Shot in the Face, Blood Pours from Mouth + Cheek Wound
There's nothing wrong with morbid curiosity. If you were out there committing these crimes or getting some sick kick out of watching the ones on here, then yes, there would be something very wrong with you. No one should be sheltered from the harsh reality of what goes on in the world. There should always be an option to view such things, there's way too many deluded people out there who think the world is perfect + people are lovely creatures.
