Man Shot Dead After Being Forced to Claim That Policemen Are Stealing Drugs
Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil A man, as yet unidentified, was shot dead next to Joventina Dias Hospital in the Compensa neighborhood early this Saturday. Before being killed, the victim was allegedly forced to record a video making accusations against Military Police officers. In the recording, the victim claims that members of the ROCAM unit - an elite battalion of the Amazonas state police - were involved in the alleged diversion of seized drugs and the sale of these narcotics by individuals linked to drug trafficking. |

The fact that he was bound when making the statement, and him being shot after making the statement, sort of removes the validity of the statement. |
