Re: Man Records Family Execution
This is an easy question to answer, but I'll refrain from dunking on you for asking. What stops cartel members and gangsters like the producer of this video from crossing the border is the fact that they are not idiots, they know how they make their living and that it's illegal. And as the ones paying the bribes, they know exactly how much corruption and influence is required to be successful in their business, therefore the last thing they are interested in is moving to a country with police and a functioning judicial system. The people leaving are either their direct victims, like the family late paying back their extortionist in this video, or people sick of trying to make it work in a place that was already challenging but that is growing increasingly chaotic and violent. You sort of answered your own, question, there is zero chance of importing a "culture of violence" because none exists, you seem to be confusing culture with cartel. People abandoning their lives and possessions and moving thousands of miles to a foreign land to start from scratch because they could no longer deal with the chaos and crime back home are the last people on earth who might all the sudden for no reason decide to turn into the people they just fled from, that makes zero sense. Personally I think the language barrier and by that i mean Americans who only speak english by being at the mercy of only english speaking media and their politicians they make it way too easy for cynical politicians to use the border as a bogeyman and talk about immigrants as if they were some satanic zombie army of gang members and sicarios flooding into the country devouring the brains and wallet of every fox news viewer on their way to kidnap their daughters, silliness that simply would not be possible if everyone involved spoke a common language. Also, as members of the culture that produces every single gun on this side of the world, as well as billions of bullets, claiming someone from a country that produces none of them might be interested in "introducing" THEIR culture of violence to us, after we invented it and sold it to them, is one of the funniest things I've read in a while, preciate it.
